I still think we should give more attention to microturbines as range extenders for battery electric vehicles. The slow spin-up doesn’t matter if it’s not driving the wheels.

The "upgrade urge" is peak consumerism.

Smartphones have reached the same place as PCs for me: there's nothing that compels me to buy upgrades other than stuff breaking or running out of space. Keeping what I already have is fine otherwise.
